Self Defense

1. Review TPM

2. Line up facing partners. One side attacks with a bear hug. Other side defends. Move all the way down the line. Then exchange roles.

3. Line up facing partners. One side attacks with a headlock. Other side defends. Move all the way down the line. Then exchange roles.

Warm Up

1. Pushup / Crunch alternating – 30 seconds each for two rounds.

2. Teach / review 1-8 blocks

   a. Wide sweeping open vs 1-2 block

   b. ½ speed Jab vs 3-4 block in movement

   c. Cross to body vs 5-6 blocks

   d. Front kick vs 7-8 blocks

   e. Sidekick vs 9-10 blocks

Review Chop, Ridge Hand, Palm Heel & Groin Grab

1. 10 of each on partner to vital targets

Skills/Drills

1. Jab-Skip Sidekick 60-seconds each side on shield

2. Skip Sidekick Step Back Defensive Sidekick 60-seconds each side  on shield

3. 1-2 Back Leg Sidekick  on shield

Slow Motion Sidekick

10 seconds out and 10 seconds back. 10 each side.

Cool Down

1. Form a circle with students facing the center

2. Alternating 3 Sets of 15 slow push ups & 20 crunches

3. Stretches until end of class

Class Two

Warm Up
